Mystery Hour Question
How do moths know what colour they are and how do they know where to land to camouflage? Mark, Reading
** Definitive **
Name: George, Elstead
Qualification: Degree in Zoology
Answer: Moths don’t actually know what colour they are, they just know what colour to land on.
If they don’t land on the right colour they will be eaten so there is an evolutionary pressure to land on the right colour.
