Mystery Hour Question

Question: Why do we have ‘par avion’ beneath every single blue sticker when we send something by air mail?

Name: Louise, Richmond

Name: Jean, Croydon

Qualification: Frenchman

Answer: Originally the air mail system was started from Toulouse by French people. It went along the African coast up to Senegal and then as far as Brazil. This was the first air mail. ‘Par avion’ thus became the standard.
