A man has appeared in court after he was charged following protests at Heathrow Airport on Friday.

Julian Roger Hallam was charged with attempting to cause a public nuisance after the Heathrow Pause action.

The 53-year-old from Carmarthen, Wales, at Uxbridge Magistrates’ court on Monday, 16 September.

He was arrested on Thursday, 13 September and Saturday, 15 September in connection with protest activity in the vicinity of Heathrow Airport.

Mr Hallam was remanded in custody to appear at Isleworth Crown Court on Monday, 14 October.

A total of 19 other people were arrested as part of this operation and have been bailed or released under investigation pending further enquiries.
