London stabbings: Two men critical after separate knife attacks just hours apart

Two men are in hospital following separate stabbings in London last night. One victim is critical after an attack in Queensbury. A few hours later a man was also found injured in Poplar.
The two street attacks took place in Queensbury, north west London and Poplar, east London.
Police say a 25 year old man was attacked in New Village Avenue, Poplar at 11.15pm.
He was taken to hospital and remains in a critical condition.
Detectives have launched an investigation into the attack.
A Met Police spokesman said: "An investigation has been launched by detectives from the Central East Command Unit. There has been no arrest at this stage."
More than three hours later, at 2.36am on Thursday, Tower Hamlets tweeted that officers were still at the scene.

A second man is also in a critical condition after he was stabbed in Eton Grove, Queensbury at 6.30 pm.
Police found a man, believed to be in his 20s, suffering from knife wounds.
He was airlifted to hospital and remains in a critical condition.
Police put a section 60 stop and search order in place until midnight, covering the wards of Queensbury, both Brent and Harrow, and Kenton.
A police spokesman said. "Next of kin have been informed. Enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing. No arrests."
