A former police sergeant has denied seven counts of rape, including one while on duty.

Derek Seekings, 64, allegedly raped the woman a number of times between 1994 and 2000 while working for Surrey Police.

A former Surrey Police sergeant has denied raping a woman a number of times, including once while on duty.

He pleaded not guilty at Guildford Crown Court on Monday.

Mr Seekings, from Farnborough, Hampshire, retired from the force in 2005 before working as a licensing officer for Surrey Heath Borough Council.

He is due to stand trial at Lewes Crown Court on May 11 next year.
