A 23-year-old man in north London has been charged following an investigation by the Met's Counter Terrorism Command.

Yayha Rashid, 23 (29.03.96) of north London, was charged with two offences contrary to the Counter Terrorism Act 2008 and he is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court later today.

Police have stressed that his case is not linked "in any way" to the London Bridge terror attack and say they had already been making enquiries into this matter before the attack at Fishmongers' Hall on 29 November.

The man was arrested on Sunday 1 December, detained under PACE and taken to a south London police station.
