Police are hunting two gunmen who fired 15 shots at a man sitting in a parked car in north London.

The target, a 24-year-old man, was sitting in a car on Pele Court, Compton Crescent in Tottenham.

Police were called at 7.12pm on December 12 to reports of gunshots. Armed officers raced to the scene where they found two suspects had fired ‘approximately’ 15 shots towards a car.

The suspected target received minor injuries from broken glass. Two suspects made off on foot.

Police want to trace any witnesses or anyone who may have information after the shooting.

There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.

Detective Constable Michael Clinch, from Specialist Crime, said: “It goes without saying that the actions of these two suspects were reckless in the extreme. It is only good fortune that makes this an appeal to trace two callous individuals with access to a firearm and not a murder investigation.

“People who act in this way do not deserve loyalty. If you know who they may be, or have suspicions about somebody who may have access to a firearm, please contact police. You may well be saving a life.”

Anyone with information should call 101 quoting CAD 6545/12Dec or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
