Five arrested after man stabbed to death in Eaton Socon, Cambridgeshire

A man's been arrested on suspicion of murder after a stabbing in Cambridgeshire.

Police were called to Prince Close in Eaton Socon last night to reports that a man, in his thirties, had suffered serious injuries.

Cambridgeshire Police said emergency services were called to Prince Close in Eaton Socon, a district of St Neots, at around 5.25pm on Sunday.

The force said it received reports that a man, aged in his 30s, was seriously injured and he died at the scene despite the efforts of paramedics.

Police have arrested a man aged in his 30s on suspicion of murder and he remains in custody.

Two men and two women have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and they also remain in custody.

Detective Chief Inspector Mike Branston said the death is being treated as an "isolated incident".

A police cordon remains in place at the scene.
