Grenfell Survivor Gets Round Of Applause In Epic Speech To Council Leader

10 August 2017, 07:35

This is the moment an emotional Grenfell Tower survivor got a round of applause as he told the council leader that she is failing them.

At a public meeting last night, the gentleman told Elizabeth Campbell that they live in the richest borough in the world. And yet the gap between the rich and poor is higher than it's ever been.

The crowd got fully behind the survivor as he railed against the council's poor efforts to re-house Grenfell residents and the lack of mental health help following the fire.

Things got tense towards the end of his four-minute speech, as a police officer tried to stop him speaking. But after the crowd complained, he was allowed to continue.
