Jean-Claude Juncker’s five-point plan to save the European Union has been mocked by Nigel Farage - who compared it to a Carry On film.

The European Commission’s president has set out a blueprint on how he thinks the EU needs to change in order to survive post-Brexit.

But the plan, which includes deeper integration, has been likened to the plot of a popular 60’s British film by Nigel Farage.

Talking on his LBC show, Nigel quipped: “Do you remember that scene in Carry On Up the Khyber?

“Sir Sydney Rough Diamond is there having dinner with his wife and guests. The shells are landing in the ceiling and there are spears coming through the window.

“It's clear the whole thing is a disaster and they're all going to get killed but they pretend there's nothing wrong at all and continue eating their dinner and I think that's what's happening in the European Union.

“I think they're deluding themselves if they really think the peoples of Europe want to be governed by Jean-Claude Juncker and the unelected gang in Brussels.”
