Amber Rudd is a Conservative MP and Home and Pensions Secretary.
After entering parliament in 2010 as the MP for Hastings and Rye, Ms Rudd became the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change four years later. And when Theresa May became Prime Minister, she promoted Ms Rudd to Home Secretary.
She resigned as Home Secretary over the Windrush scandal, but later returned to Cabinet under Boris Johnson as Work and Pensions Secretary.
Amber Rudd was married to Sunday Times writer AA Gill from 1990 to 1995. She is currently in a relationship with fellow Conservative MP Kwasi Kwarteng.
