The shocking video from America sees the young girl fall out of the rear door and land heavily in the middle of the road.

The horrifying moment was filmed by the dashboard camera of volunteer firefighter Ryan Ciampoli, who was driving behind the bus in Harrison, Arkansas.

In the video the rear door of the bus can be seen swinging open with the young girl tumbling out and landing heavily on the tarmac. The bus continues driving as Mr Ciampoli stops his vehicle and goes to help the girl.

Ciampoli, who is a trained emergency medic, moved the girl to the side of the road when she woke up.

He told Fox news: “The shock kicked in in her little body and she started kicking and screaming and 'where's my mommy?' and things like that, stuff that is really heartbreaking.”

The girl was taken to hospital were she was treated for a broken jaw. She is expected to make a full recovery.
