Britain has been hit by a cost of living crisis which has seen the costs of everyday essentials such as energy, transport and food rise faster than household incomes.
These spiralling costs have shown no sign of easing and LBC has heard from desperate people forced to choose between heating and eating simply because they cannot afford to do both.
The government has committed to a £22billion package to help with costs such as energy bills and hinted that further support will be forthcoming.
But critics have accused ministers of “burying their heads in the sand” and need to do more to ease the situation for millions of hard-press people.
