Met Police Chief: It's Too Easy For Anyone To Get Hold Of Acid

The Met Police Chief says it is too easy for people to get hold of acid and she's working with the Home Office to change the law.

Last night in London, five people were squirted with corrosive liquid in the space of just 72 minutes by two men on a moped in Hackney and Islington.

And last week, LBC revealed a sharp rise in acid attacks in the capital, with three attacks every week.

Speaking to LBC on Call The Commissioner, Cressida Dick says these attacks are a new "barbaric" trend.

She said: "Acid attacks are completely barbaric. It’s a new trend in this country. The acid can cause horrendous injuries."
