Maajid Nawaz engages in in a blazing row with a Putin apologist who calls democracy 'a joke.'
Maajid was discussing Putin’s funding of groups within the UK, when Tony in Croydon called to defend the Russian leader.
He branded our democracy a ‘joke’ and praised the Russian leader for his stance on international relations.
But when Maajid confronted him with the revelations that Putin may have funded Scottish separatists, Tony remarked that this was ‘low level corruption.’
This provoked a furious response from Maajid who said that ‘in a different era that would have been called treachery.”
