Paul in Leicester called Shelagh to tell him about the shocking litany of injuries he had suffered at the hands of his ex and why he never went to the police.

“I just was thinking about the children, I didn’t want the police coming in and dragging their mum away.”

Paul can no longer see his children. “I’m so frightened of dragging the kids through court,” he said.
